Peppers

Polter's Berry Farm grows over 30 acres of peppers.  Our peppers are sold to processors that cut them into rings.  Many of which are used by sandwich chains like Subway.  We are currently growing both jalapeño and banana peppers.  The peppers are transplanted in early June and harvested from mid-August through September.  We plant our peppers on twin row beds and irrigate them with drip irrigation.  We are also using a special fertility program that is applied though the drip.
